ABOUT US |

Welcome to Raw by Design, where our passion for dogs' health and well-being drives everything we do. Founded by brothers Keith and Dr. Raymond Bowles, our journey began with a shared love for dogs and a commitment to providing them with the best possible diet.
Keith and Ray have been feeding their dogs a raw and healthy diet for many years, experiencing firsthand the incredible benefits. With nine dogs between them and limited access to raw and healthy dog food on the North Shore of Long Island, they envisioned a dog-focused business in Cold Spring Harbor Village. In June 2024, Raw by Design was born.

Ray, a Doctor of Chiropractic with over 30 years of practice, firmly believes in raw or minimally processed food for dogs to ensure a long and healthy life. After switching his Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Peach, to a raw diet, Ray noticed immediate improvements in her coat, muscle tone, allergies, energy levels, and overall vitality.
Inspired by Peach's transformation, Keith began feeding his own dogs raw food and never looked back. Today, all six of Keith's dogs enjoy the benefits of a raw diet.
At Raw by Design, we believe dogs are carnivores and should eat a diet rich in raw meat, organs, fatty tissue, and bones. Research shows that typical dried kibble, cooked at high temperatures, destroys essential vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, providing little nutritional value.

A raw food diet, with zero or minimal processing, offers all the nutritional benefits without harmful byproducts. The advantages include healthier coats, pearly white teeth, lean muscle mass, improved weight management, and better digestion.
Our store not only stocks natural dog and cat food, treats, and paraphernalia but also features a beautiful and safe courtyard for dogs and their owners to enjoy. We host monthly adoption events for shelter and rescue groups, fostering a sense of community and promoting our mission.
